Why BLISS?

In today’s demanding world, physical and mental health are often neglected as people juggle busy schedules and increasing work pressures. Without consistent self-care, burnout, stress, and health issues become inevitable, impacting both professional performance and personal well-being. BLISS is designed to track and balance both physical and mental health, helping users stay mindful of their needs and create healthy habits. By integrating health tracking with actionable insights, we empower individuals to take control of their well-being, leading to a more balanced, fulfilling, and productive life.

Background

  • 1. Professionals need a way to receive actionable insights on their health because they struggle to identify when stress and physical exhaustion are negatively affecting their daily lives.

    2. Busy individuals need a way to monitor stress levels and physical well-being because their fast-paced schedules leave little time for reflection and wellness management.

    3. Employees need a way to balance work and personal health because burnout from long hours is leading to decreased productivity and overall dissatisfaction.

    4. Health-conscious users need a way to integrate mental and physical health data into one platform because juggling multiple apps makes it hard to get a clear picture of their overall well-being.

  • Bliss will allow users to monitor their mental and physical well-being through integrated tracking and personalized insights, which will affect busy professionals and individuals by helping them achieve a healthier work-life balance, reduce burnout, and improve overall wellness and productivity.

  • This problem hasn’t been fully solved yet because existing solutions often address physical health and mental health separately, leading to fragmented experiences. Many wellness apps focus on one aspect, such as exercise, sleep, or meditation, without providing a holistic view of both mental and physical well-being. Additionally, current tools lack personalization and real-time insights tailored to the user’s unique work-life challenges. As modern life becomes increasingly fast-paced, people need a seamless, integrated solution that considers the interaction between their mental and physical health, which hasn’t been effectively tackled in a single platform. Without this, users struggle to maintain a sustainable balance, leading to ongoing stress and burnout.

  • My audit of existing wellness and habit-tracking apps—Moodfit, Daylio, and Habit List—revealed several gaps and limitations. Users expressed a desire for more integrated solutions that combine mental health tracking with habit-building features. While Moodfit offers comprehensive mental health tools, it lacks the social and gamified elements that could enhance user engagement. Daylio’s simple mood tracking is time-efficient, but users felt it lacked depth in feedback and guidance. Habit List focuses on goal-setting and productivity, but its limitations in the free version and absence of community or motivational elements were seen as drawbacks. Across all three apps, users emphasized the need for a more seamless balance of mental health tracking, habit-building, and community support to foster long-term well-being.
